Ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend, StockX is taking one last look back on 2025 through the lens of basketball.
Resale data on performance basketball found Nike dominates the category, as the top four-selling signature lines all come from Swoosh athletes. Unsurprisingly, Kobe Bryant took the number-one spot, and the late legend also accounted for the top four bestselling basketball sneakers in 2025.
Appetite for Ja Morant‘s sneakers hasn’t been dulled by a down year on the court and rumors that the Memphis Grizzlies wanted to trade him. His latest model, the Nike Ja 3, has drawn significant praise for a more radical design than its two predecessors and drove him to becoming StockX‘s second bestselling signature athlete.

At number five, Anthony Edwards of Adidas had the highest appearance of a non-Nike athlete. His first signature sneaker drew significant praise upon its release in 2023, and his second came later than is typically expected with a fall 2025 release.
Nike took three more spots in the top 10 with two WNBA players in Sabrina Ionescu at number six and A’ja Wilson at nine, as well as Devin Booker at seven. Adidas then got another appearance with James Harden at eight, while Puma’s Lamelo Ball came in at number 10.
Excluding models originally released prior to 2025, the Nike Ja 3 was the top seller and was followed directly by Wilson’s Nike A’One.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse Shai 001, designed by the player himself, put him as the 11th bestselling basketball player but was both Converse’s most popular model on StockX in 2025 and gave the brand its best performance in a single month since 2022.
