Spike Lee Swaps Dress Shoes for Off-White x Air Jordan 4s on the Oscars Red Carpet

Lee chose a pair of Off-White x Air Jordan 4 Retro "Sail" sneakers by the late Virgil Abloh.

Spike Lee showed love for Jordan Brand and Off-White at the 2026 Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday with a pair of collaborative sneakers.

Eschewing the typical dress shoe expectation for the Oscars red carpet, Lee went with a pair of Off-White x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Sail” sneakers by the late Virgil Abloh. The off-white, full-grain leather shoes feature mesh and translucent details in addition to quoted words, including “shoelaces” and “air” in capitals, as part of the design. The coveted shoe came out as a women’s style in 2020.

Lee also wore white tapered pants, a white collared shirt, a beige plaid blazer and flashes of purple via a bowtie and fedora. He kept his accessories interesting with white-framed glasses and a bag slung over his shoulder with shining cassette tapes across it. His ensemble complemented his wife Tonya Lewis Lee’s high neck, long sleeve metallic gold dress with cut outs.
