Pharrell Williams and Adidas have been working together for a dozen years, but another decade prior, the musician and designer was working with Reebok by way of Ice Cream, the sublabel of Billionaire Boys Club he founded with Nigo. Three sneaker models were released during that original run, and the most well-regarded of them will soon make a comeback.
The Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip “Pink Lemonade” and “Watermelon” will revive the 2005 skate shoe through a wide release following a much more limited launch last year. The chunky model features a T-toe overlay, fat tongue, striped midsole, the brand’s “Cones and Bones” logo on the lateral heel and repeating “Ice Cream” marks on the mustache and tongue.

For the “Pink Lemonade” edition, a perforated leather base is overlaid with a suede eyestay, texturized rubber T-toe and leather tongue all in red. Burgundy leather is then applied to the heel counter, while yellow pops on the lining and a pink stripe runs partially through the red sole unit.
“Watermelon” goes heavier on suede with a perforated green base, pink eyestay and green heel counter. Texturized rubber is used again on the T-toe, and the midsole is split with a white section with pink stripe and gum.
Ice Cream and Reebok have had an on-and-off-again relationship since christening it with the Flavour sneaker in 2004. Williams and BBC filed a $4 million suit against Reebok later in the year because of quality control and missed deadlines, and a settlement was reached in early 2005 in which they’d part ways but Reebok would continue to sell Ice Cream sneakers.
The Board Flip was followed up with Board Flip 2 in 2007, and that would be the end of the collaborative sneakers until they reunited again in 2019. They’ve since dropped several takes on Reebok’s own silhouettes, but a release limited to 500 pairs at ComplexCon last year marked the first time the Board Flip had resurfaced.
The Ice Cream x Reebok Board Flip “Pink Lemonade” and “Watermelon” will first release May 1 through BBC Ice Cream’s website and stores, followed May 6 on Reebok’s website. Pricing is set at $150.
