A winterized upgrade for one of Nike’s most popular lifestyle sneakers is set for a comeback just as temperatures begin to fall.
The Nike Zoom Vomero Roam is set to return this holiday season, with a new Sail/Gum Light Brown/Racer Blue/Light Stone colorway previewed here. The upcoming colorway combines a tan Light Stone ripstop and suede upper with a Sail rubber mudguard, Gum Light Brown-colored outsole and a Racer Blue insole for a neutral look that hides a singular pop of color within.

The Zoom Vomero Roam is a winter-ready version of Nike’s Zoom Vomero 5. Equipped for wet city weather but just as suitable for the trails, the Roam version of the sneaker turns the traditionally breathable retro running shoe into a tank-like all-weather option. Its water-repellant treated layered upper is designed to keep liquid and debris from getting inside, while a rubberized mudguard panel wraps the bottom half of the shoe for protection.

Other notable changes to the Roam iteration include adjustable, hiking-inspired toggle shoelaces, added reflective portions for enhanced visibility and the implementation of High Abrasion Rubber Tech on the outsole for improved durability and traction.

Nike’s Zoom Vomero Roam options have steadily dwindled since their November debut. On the brand’s e-commerce store, only one women’s colorway has sizes left in stock. The upcoming rerelease promises to provide more options as a new Sequoia pair has also been spotted.
Along with the retro Zoom Vomero 5 and its Roam variation, Nike has also given its modern-day offerings some attention with the new Vomero Plus and Vomero Premium models, both of which have been well received by runners thus far.
A U.S. release date for the new Nike Zoom Vomero Roam rerelease has not been confirmed, but readers can expect the sneakers to arrive soon at nike.com and select retailers for $180. The style code for this new women’s colorway is HQ2181-100.
