Nike SB hasn’t released one of its famously spirited 4/20 Dunks in several years now, but a more understated nod to the stoner holiday has arrived from the mainline Dunk Low.

The Nike Dunk Low Hemp Pack offers two natural colorways constructed with the material from the cannabis family. Light and dark treatments both feature a woven upper with suede Swooshes and the same off-white midsole above a gum outsole. Beige, white and cream define the lighter colorway through the base, overlays and Swoosh, respectively. The darker arrangement then opts for khaki, brown and black in the corresponding regions.

Nike’s history of 4/20 sneakers began with three-pack of hemp SB Dunks releasing in April 2004, just two years into the skateboarding line’s existence. A more bold and conspicuous standard was then set with the Skunk Dunk in 2010, which was limited to just 420 pairs, and sporadic releases have since followed but never for more than a few years in a row.

Among the other Dunks are the 2011 “Cheech and Chong,” 2018 “White Widow,” 2020 “Reverse Skunk” and 2021 “Strawberry Cough.” Following the pattern of releases reveals a strong correlation with the overall popularity of the Dunk, which is now in a relative down period after its most recent moment in the limelight to start the 2020s.

The Nike Dunk Low Hemp Pack is out now on Nike’s website and other third-party retailers. Pricing for both sneakers is set at $130.
