Nike’s newly remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble sneaker has already seen plenty of original-styled gray gradient releases, yet interest in the classic runner hasn’t waned. As fans impatiently await a 2026 reissue of the staple Neon look, another spin on the sneaker was just launched.
The Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble was released today in a Blue Tint style, or more formally Black/Blue Tint/White/Medium Grey/Anthracite/Light Graphite. On this iteration, the shoe’s often-vibrant accent color is considerably toned down, appearing in a near-gray, barely blue on the branding, lace loops and visible Air cushioning. It’s a look that has been frequently compared to 2019’s Air Max 95 Aluminum colorway, although that pre-pandemic pair featured a slightly more saturated blue hue compared to the washed-out shade of the new release.

This year, for the Air Max 95’s 30th anniversary, Nike carefully re-engineered the decades-old runner to more closely resemble the original 1995 version. Over the years, reissues of the model had drifted farther from their source material with shrunken Air bubbles and slanted shaping. Enthusiasts long clamored for the return of the classic look and for 2025, Nike delivered a version of the Air Max 95 that has received high praise for both its appearance and on-foot comfort.
In April, Kith founder Ronnie Fieg shared his thoughts on the improved Nike classic. “After comparing this year’s retro to the original from 95, they really brought back the original shape and last from that era. And even though some people say the big bubble isn’t that noticeable, it actually makes a huge difference when wearing, both visibly and physically. Way more comfortable,” said Fieg, who added that it was a “big win” for the brand.
Notable Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble releases thus far include the aforementioned Neon, Pink Foam, Bright Mandarin, Blue Spark and a denim-draped collaboration with Levi’s. Aside from the OG Big Bubble variation, the sneaker has also received a revamped skate version courtesy of Nike SB.
The Blue Tint Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble was released Thursday at select global retailers for a retail price of $190 with a Nike Snkrs release expected soon. The colorway is available exclusively in women’s sizing and its style code is HJ5996-002.
