It was a big weekend for Michael Jordan, who celebrates his birthday on Tuesday. The basketball legend’s Nike, Inc.-owned-and-operated Jordan Brand was one of the top draws of NBA All-Star Weekend, delivering a slew of coveted reissues, new locally inspired looks and high-profile collaborations. Yet Jordan’s biggest achievement came Sunday, when his 23XI Racing team took home first place at the Daytona 500 thanks to driver Tyler Reddick.
Jordan apparently then did some celebrating at Disney World, where he was photographed wearing a Nigel Sylvester’s unreleased Air Jordan 4 collaboration in white, giving fans the first full look at the upcoming sneaker. After the white pair was teased in January 2025 during a private event debiting Sylvester’s acclaimed Brick by Brick collection, the release of the second style now appears imminent.

While previous looks from the Brick by Brick dinner only showed a glimpse of the sneaker’s toe, Jordan’s Disney World outing provided a closer look at the colorways’ finer points. Syvlester’s newest style appears to riff on the original Fire Red Air Jordan 4, using a white-based leather upper with red and black accents throughout, although there are some key differences between the collaboration and the 1989 colorway.
Sylvester’s pair features fully red support wings, which typically feature a black triangle on the Fire Red version. Creamy pre-yellowing is seen on the Air Jordan 4’s Bike Air-branded heel and hangtag, giving the new shoe a vintage-like edge. And like Sylvester’s other Air Jordan 4 collaborations, a small mini Swoosh logo is embroidered near the toe.
Sylvester’s first Brick by Brick Air Jordan 4 was released in March ’25 and was one of the year’s most sought-after collaborations. With its in-person activations to intentional storytelling, the brick-colored (and textured) sneaker was one fans couldn’t get enough of last year. While the theme for the upcoming pair has not yet been confirmed, it’s likely to be met with a similar response.
This Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro OG SP in Sail/Cinnabar is set to be released this summer, with a current expected launch of May 9, although the specifics have not yet been confirmed. Readers can anticipate a retail price of $225 and availability from Nike’s Snkrs app as well as select Jordan Brand retailers. The style code for the new collaboration is IQ8055-100.
