Music journalist Nardwaur is getting an SB Dunk Low as offbeat as his interviews.
The Nardwaur x Nike SB Dunk Low has been officially announced for a December release. His trademark tam o’ shanter hat informs much of the design, as tartan paneling of the same colors makes up the majority of the upper. These swatches are arranged at different angles to create a sense of chaos, and the pom at the top of the bonnet is replicated as a lace attachment.
Nardwaur’s sign-off is also applied in several places, as “Doot Doola Doot Do…” and “Doot Doo!” are split in text bubbles across the left and right mustaches and outsoles. On the insole, you’ll find his logo featuring his face and the title “Human Serviette.” Each pair will also come with extra sets of laces in yellow, red, green and blue should you want to add another clashing element.

In an announcement post on Instagram, Nardwaur said the collaboration is a life goal and that he’s “totally blown away.” Leading up to wider release, he’ll make in-store appearances in Los Angeles, Toronto, London, New York and Vancouver.
The veteran journalist is known for his voracious research into his subjects, often bringing gifts to coordinate with unexpected questions. At the end of each interview, he prompts the interviewee by saying the first part of his sign-off. Often, there’s an uncomfortable silence before the second part of the call-and-response is uttered.
Even with a track record of the unusual, Nike SB has made Nardwuar one of its more surprising collaborators. It also has another eyebrow-raising collaboration in store with Costco, expected to release before the end of the year.
The Nardwaur x Nike SB Dunk Low will release Dec. 6 through skate shops before hitting the Snkrs app Dec. 9. Pricing is set at $140.
