Kobe Bryant‘s Nike Air Force 1 Low has taken on numerous colorways this year, several of them involving a snakeskin-textured upper. And as the series of commemorative sneakers continues to grow, what could be the most striking version yet is on the way soon.
The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lenticular” takes on not just a scaly upper, but also one with one with a metallic and shifting finish. Together, the two qualities make for a particular realistic snake appearance, and the rest of the sneaker is loaded with other homages to Bryant.

A colorless translucent sole unit replaces the usual branding with Bryant’s signature on the lateral heel, and silver-tone metal lace dubraes spell out “Mamba Mentality” across the two shoes. On both the mustache and insole you’ll find Bryant’s Nike logo, the latter of which is set atop a black snakeskin graphic. Mismatched inner-tongue tags feature Bryant’s nos. 8 and 24 on the left and right shoe, respectively. Another surprise is in store when the shoe goes under light, as the Swoosh’s trim reflects a rainbow gradient.

Since Nike began making Kobe-branded Air Force 1 Lows late last year for the first time since 2017, nine different colorways have already released. (Ten if you separate the numbered and non-numbered variants of the “Lakers Away.”) The snakeskin look itself has appeared in white, purple and black colorways, as another version in purple made with FC Barcelona.
Nike has also been dishing out Air Force 1 Lows for LeBron James and Ja Morant, while Caitlin Clark has received several of her own colorways of Nike Kobe sneakers.
The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Lenticular” is expected to release before the end of the year through Nike’s website and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $150.
