Jimmy Fallon Puts on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Nike Air DT Max ’96 Sneakers With Eagles’ Jalen Hurts

Fallon shared a preview for "The Tonight Show" on Instagram, and he also a pair of flared jeans.

Jimmy Fallon welcomed Philidelphia Eagles players Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley to an episode of “The Tonight Show” while paying homage to Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performance look in a video posted to Instagram yesterday.

The short reel was accompanied by the caption “Jimmy has his @kendricklamar Super Bowl jeans on with @jalenhurts & @saquon! #FallonTonight.” Fallon danced alongside Hurts and Barkley in Nike Air DT Max ’96 in the black and white “Colorado Away” colorway, the same sneakers Lamar wore during his Feb. 9 performance.

In fact, according to online apparel reselling platform StockX, resales of Nike Air DT Max ’96 sneakers shot up 413% following the highly-anticipated performance after Kendrick wore the shoes onstage accompanied by flared Celine jeans. Lamar’s performance featured cameos from Samuel Jackson, Serena Williams, SZA and Mustard.

The Air DT Max 96, short for “Diamond Turf,” launched in the year that gave it its name and in the year which Deion Sanders won his second Super Bowl in a row by moving to the Dallas Cowboys. The Air DT Max 96 was brought back multiple times including in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2018. 

The episode featuring the Super Bowl champs aired yesterday via NBC. Both football players spoke about their massive Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs and Hurts used a photo from his Super Bowl LVII loss as motivation before shotgunning beers with the Eagles’ starting offensive line.
