Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s debut signature shoe, the Converse Shai 001, has been one of the year’s most celebrated sneakers across all categories. The model has been praised for its ability to crossover between on-court performance and off-court style, leading to considerable interest for each style that’s been released. For those who have struggled to get their hands on a pair, there will soon be another chance to purchase three of the four styles released thus far at retail.
The Converse Shai 001’s Charm Black (style code A18977C), Masi Blue (style code A18772C) and Hail Clay (style code A18978C) colorways are confirmed to be restocked this month. While each pair’s color blocking is kept simple with tonal looks, they’re more than just wearable colorways; each pair has a backstory connected to Gilgeous-Alexander’s family. The Charm Black pair is inspired by his mother, Charmaine, and her favorite color to wear. The Masi Blue pair is a tribute to the reigning NBA MVP’s brother, Thomasi. And the Hail Clay style is a homage to his wife, Hailey.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s Shai 001 debuted at retail in September with a Butter colorway. On court, the Oklahoma City Thunder star wore the pair for the first time in February during the NBA All-Star Game. Following the first pair, the three family-themed styles were released in October. The low-top model features Nike’s Zoom Air cushioning but is otherwise light on tech, instead leaning on its zipper-equipped aesthetic which can be worn zipped or unzipped for multiple looks.
Still to come from the Shai 001 family collection is a Ares Gray colorway inspired by Gilgeous Alexander’s son, Ares, and his eye color. An exact release date for the Ares Gray style has not been confirmed.
The three family-themed Converse Shai 001 colorways will be restocked on converse.com and from Dick’s Sporting Goods and Foot Locker on Nov. 20. Retail pricing for each pair is $130.
