Caitlin Clark’s devotion to the Nike Kobe line led to her receiving several player-exclusive colorways during her rookie season, and fans will soon have a chance to wear one of them during her second season the WNBA.
The Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” features a colorway to match Clark’s team uniform. Clark hasn’t yet played a WNBA game in the sneakers but debuted them during warmups for the Fever’s playoff opening game in September.
Navy blue is used for the majority of the sneaker, including the sole unit and a glossy upper. A red and yellow gradient is then applied to the thin outline that forms the swoosh, as well as the the tongue and heel stabilizer.

Clark is well known for favoring Nike Kobe sneakers during both her college and professional career, specifically the Kobe Protro 5 and Kobe Protro 6.
In a July press conference, Clark told reporters: “I’m a Kobe person, everybody knows that. It’s the best shoe, it’s not even close. I probably like the Kobe 6s the best, which are the ones I have on right now. I like the 5s as well, but the 6s are kind of my thing. Obviously just to wear his shoe, and what Vanessa has done, and what their family has done, and continuing his legacy. Not only within his shoe, but that whole foundation and the Kobe brand is pretty incredible. So I feel very lucky and fortunate to not only represent Nike but also their entire family.”
Clark has also received a black and gold player-exclusive Kobe 5 Protro, as well as two different Kobe 6 Protro editions, one of which is confirmed to release later in the year.
The Caitlin Clark x Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever” will release June 1 through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $190.
