An obscure, yet coveted Air Jordan Retro sneaker from the mid-2000s is reportedly set to make a return after spending 20 long years in the Nike, Inc. archives.
According to new information shared by insiders Sneaker Files and @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Tour Yellow” is coming back for the first time ever during fall 2026. The oft-overlooked colorway was originally released in 2006 and was one of the first Air Jordan 4s to don “Rare Air” tongue patches after the concept was introduced on 2005’s Undefeated x Air Jordan 4.

While it’s not an original colorway, the Tour Yellow style has become even more desirable in the decades since its debut. The pair uses a white-based White/Tour Yellow/Dark Blue Gray/Black combination with classic Air Jordan 4 color blocking which even includes a cement print splatter across the yellow midsole. The Tour Yellow style was unique for being just the second Air Jordan 4 to feature a removable Velcro tongue patch which revealed Rare Air branding underneath.

The Tour Yellow Air Jordan 4 was introduced in May 2006 and was followed by “Thunder” and “Lightning” Air Jordan 4s in August 2006, both of which also featured the same Tour Yellow shade but dialed it up for an even more head-turning appearance. The ’06 version of the Tour Yellow Air Jordan 4 was classified as a LS (Lifestyle) release, a discontinued Jordan Brand line which included ranges of matching apparel and accessories.
After two decades away from retail shelves, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Tour Yellow is set to make its grand return during fall ’26. A style code for the upcoming release has not yet been disclosed, but it’s expected to be priced at $220 with availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers.
