Of all the twists and transformations the Adidas Samba has seen in recent years, this may be the most ambitious of them all.
Not only is this upcoming Samba style coated in a glossy croc material, but it features an attachment that converts the 1970s sneaker into a slouchy knee-high boot. The removable shroud attaches with a snap fastener at the heel, allowing the wearer to choose between the traditional Samba sneaker look or going all-out with the boot. In theory, it could also allow for other future Samba attachments, although this is currently the only Adidas sneaker-boot hybrid in the works that we know of.

The Samba was honored as Shoe of the Year at the 2023 Footwear News Achievement Awards. And while it’s not quite as red-hot now as it was then, Adidas has managed to establish the sneaker as a staple of its Originals line rather than a fleeting trend.
This upcoming Adidas Samba Boot will be released exclusively in women’s sizing. Although an exact launch date has not been confirmed, readers can expect it to be released in time for colder weather. It has a full colorway of Supplier Colour/Olive Strata/Gum 5 and its style code is JQ8727. Retail pricing has not yet been announced, but the pair will be available from adidas.com and select Adidas Originals stockists.
