Tyla brought her signature blend of early-2000s nostalgia and footwear fluency to the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday evening, serving as the evening’s host and rolling out multiple statement looks — with each one grounded by a carefully chosen shoe.
Styled by Law Roach, Tyla kicked off the night on the orange carpet in a tropical ensemble grounded by Rene Caovilla’s Cleo Satin Crystal Snake Wrap Sandals. The strappy stilettos featured the brand’s signature spiral ankle coil, rendered in emerald satin with crystal embellishment.
The sculptural silhouette echoed the wraparound skirt of her jungle-print sarong and added polish to the undone denim shorts and ribbed crop top she layered underneath.

Onstage, she alternated between multiple outfits, each with its own footwear pivot. During interactive hosting moments — weaving through the audience or speaking into the mic between acts — she wore Nike Dunk Low sneakers in the “Pumice” colorway.
The singer, who inked a deal with Nike earlier this year, styled the white-and-beige trainers with frayed patchwork denim shorts and a black baby tee.
For her live performance, Tyla changed into a copper-toned, raw-edged corset top and camo cargo pants, paired with metallic gold ankle-strap sandals by Brian Atwood. The heels featured a cage-like toe box, fringe detailing on the ankle strap and a slender stiletto.
Together, they struck the balance Tyla has become known for — tough silhouettes softened by feminine footwear.
She also slipped into a Roberto Cavalli spring 2006 dress during a later segment, styled with gladiator-style wrap-up sandals. The strappy gold heels wrapped high around the calf, echoing a silhouette Tyla has returned to several times in 2025 — from the Le Silla gladiators she wore to the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards, to the thigh-high Dsquared2 “Riri” sandals she wore in the “Push 2 Start” music video.
The “Water” singer also picked up the award for Favorite Global Music Star – Africa, joining a short list of performers to host, win and take the stage to get slimed in a single night.
Whether in crystal-wrapped stilettos, retro Dunks or high-winding gladiators, Tyla’s footwear choices at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards weren’t just accessories — they were timestamps in a larger, evolving shoe aesthetic.
