Teyana Taylor showed up in a military green ensemble and massive Marc Jacobs boots for the premiere of Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” as an ode to her revolutionary character Perfidia in the film. The event took place on Monday in Los Angeles.
Marc Jacobs The Kiki Knee-High Boot
Taylor opted for a pair of high, dark-colored platform Marc Jacobs Kiki Knee-High boots. They feature a significant platform sole and a tall, chunky block heel, standing around six inches tall with a three-inch platform. The smoke-gray boots feature a fitted shaft that extends up the leg, with silver mary jane-style buckles and laces running down the center, stopping just before the rounded square toe.
The boots are crafted from grungy leather and include a side-zip closure. The Marc Jacobs boots are one of the designer’s most recognizable shoe designs thanks to their exaggerated height and distinctive style.

The Kiki boots were first introduced by Marc Jacobs in the fall 2016 runway collection and became a cult favorite shoe. The designer has reimagined the boots in various styles and colors since their debut, and most recently appeared as part of the brand’s spring 2024 collection. The style has been a preferred footwear choice for the “Bed of Roses” singer as well, who wore them in black to The King’s Trust Gala in New York City in May 2024.
For the movie premiere, Taylor paired the boots with a green leather dress from the Marc Jacobs spring 2023 collection. The midi dress’ material gathered around her waist and hips, and featured an off-the-shoulder design with exaggerated capped sleeves. She wore matching leather gloves and accessorized with chunky gold bracelets and rings over the gloves. Taylor wore her hair in a short pixie cut for the event.
“One Battle After Another” hits theaters on Sept. 26 and follows Perfidia and Bob, a pair of revolutionaries, whose daughter, Willa, gets taken by their evil nemesis. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall and Chase Infiniti.
