Shakira was dreaming of denim at the announcement of the FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show during Global Citizen NOW 2026 at Spring Studios on Thursday in New York City. The superstar attended the event in one of her most daring shoe choices yet.
The “Zoo” singer soared into the press conference in a pair of sky-high Jeffrey Campbell denim boots. She opted for the Jeffrey Campbell Cute-Jeans thigh-high denim boots. The dramatic shoe style featured a plaid lattice design in a medium-wash denim. The intricate lattice was made from deconstructed seams that climbed to the top of the 13-inch shaft of the thigh-high denim design.
It also featured a lofty, concealed and sculpted platform, under a pointed-toe design on the front of the shoe, which added even more of a boost in height. The platform measures two inches. The shoes are characterized by a flared, spool heel that measures a whopping six inches.

The distinct heels are designed with a wide top where the base meets the shoe, a narrow waist, and a wide, flared bottom, creating an hourglass shape. The flared heels are often considered more stable and comfortable than the traditional slim, stiletto heel. While the boots are not currently offered by the shoe brand, they are available starting around $150 on luxury resale websites.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” star kept the denim theme going with the rest of her ensemble. She committed to her jeans look in a Diesel De-Dra minidress. The dress was made in a cerulean blue shade with a concealed side hook and zip fastening. It featured spaghetti straps, a sleeveless design, with a scoop neckline, and frayed detailing around the hips.
Shakira joined FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Brazilian soccer star Kaká on stage at the event.
