Copenhagen-based men’s brand NN.07 is getting in on the boat shoe trend with a new collaboration with Sebago.
For the duo’s second chapter of their collaboration, the two brands teamed up on a special-edition release of the American footwear brand’s signature Docksides Portland model. The result is a cream-white version of the boat shoe silhouette, crafted in crocodile-embossed leather.
The shoe features a lightweight, water-resistant upper and anti-slip rubber soles, and each pair is hand-sewn with precision using premium off-white cow leather and finished with a 360-degree rawhide lace system, personalized woven label and in-sock, and non-marking soles.

“We are thrilled to work with Sebago once again,” Gustav Emil Loft of NN.07 told FN. “We strongly believe that the synergy between the brands is demonstrated through the timelessness of the legendary Sebago silhouette and the dedicated approach to beautiful design that NN.07 represents. We can’t wait to introduce this special collaboration to our consumers and give them a standout shoe for their summer wardrobe.”
This latest release follows the duo’s summer 2024 drop of a penny loafer model. For this project, the Danish brand updated Sebago’s classic Dan model with additions like a cobalt blue NN.07 woven tab and a water-repellent finish on the upper.
But Sebago is no stranger to the boat shoe. In an exclusive interview with FN in December, Sebago global brand manager and creative director Marco Tamponi noted that when the American footwear company was purchased by BasicNet from Wolverine Worldwide for $14.25 million in 2017, almost 90 percent of its sales in the spring/summer seasons came from boat shoes.
“It’s clear that the next trend seems to be the boat shoe, thanks to some of the most important luxury brands who have shown them in recent collections,” Tamponi told FN at the time.
As for NN.07, it quietly opened the doors to its first North American store at 276 Lafayette Street in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan in August. The store is being operated by Justin Berkowitz, the former men’s fashion director of Bloomingdale’s, who joined NN.07 last May as a strategic partner in the U.S.
NN.07, which is an abbreviation for No Nationality, was founded in 2007 with a simple pair of chinos, the Simon 1000, that were intended to be worn everyday like a good pair of jeans. From there, the collection has grown into a full lifestyle line that has become popular with celebrities including Jeremy Allen White, who wore the brand’s Gael jacket in the TV series “The Bear.”
The NN.07 + Sebago Docksides Portland will be available from May 15 at Nn07.com and in NN.07 flagship stores.
