Sabrina Carpenter Swaps Her Signature Chunky Platforms for Sleek Heels

The pop star attended an "SNL" after-party in lace-up pumps.

Following her “Saturday Night Live” gig, appearing as both the host and musical guest, Sabrina Carpenter skipped her signature platform heels in favor of sleek stilettos.

After the late-night show wrapped up, Carpenter attended an after-party at the Mermaid Oyster Bar in New York City, where her pumps, which look to be made from a satin material, packed a polish punch. The pop star went with dark gray pointy-toe heels boasting a lace-up silhouette that wrapped around her ankles. Meanwhile, the fabric across her toes featured an intriguing braid-like design. Her soft pink pedicure was the perfect foil to the charcoal-colored shoes.

The “Espresso” singer, who has been booked and busy promoting her latest album, “Man’s Best Friend,” wore the luxe pumps with a white suit vest and matching miniskirt. Her blue satin bra was on full display underneath the top, giving the outfit a sultry spin. A sequin silver purse added a dose of shimmer to the after-hours look. Carpenter rocked her hallmark voluminous blonde curls, finishing the beauty moment with rosy pink cheeks and a matching lipstick.

Lace-up heels have been a leading style in the footwear scene this year. The trend took shape during the spring 2025 shows, pictured at Dries Van Noten, Chloé, and Ferragamo. And if Carpenter’s after-party look is any indication, the silhouette’s popularity won’t be waning this fall.

Carpenter touched down in the Big Apple early last week, prepping for her “SNL” gig. On Tuesday night, the Grammy-winning musician paid homage to Carrie Bradshaw, taking to the streets in a trendy socks-and-heels moment, once championed by the fictional character. For the outing, Carpenter juxtaposed Manolo Blahnik’s sparkly crystal-adorned Sedaraby pumps with thick butter yellow socks, which perfectly coordinated with her off-the-shoulder sweater dress. Talk about a high-style week.
