Regina Hall left her awards season sparkle behind Sunday night, arriving at the New York premiere of “The Sheep Detectives” in Dsquared2’s Lock Yourself Heeled Sandals and taking her recent shoe run of shimmering awards show shoes in a cleaner, sharper direction.
Hall chose the black leather style with a slim toe strap, a second narrow band across the foot and two longer straps that crossed over each other as they climbed the ankle before fastening high with a small silver lock clasp, the pair’s most recognizable detail. A dark front platform added height, but the sandal looked lighter than some of her recent red carpet choices because so much of the foot stayed exposed. From the side, the heel read tall and straight, with a cleaner line than the crystal-heavy or chunkier evening pairs Hall had been favoring earlier this year.
At the Actor Awards in March, Hall went bright and high-shine in silver Aquazzura crystal sandals with crossover straps and ankle ties. Two weeks later at the 2026 Oscars, she moved into black Stuart Weitzman platforms with more height and more heft underfoot. On Sunday, she kept the elevation but stripped away some of the excess. The result landed somewhere between those two earlier moods: still evening-ready, still strappy, but more controlled and less overtly glamorous.

Hall wore the sandals with a Tod’s spring 2026 dress in alternating cream, taupe and black stripes, cut with black leather trim at the halter-style neckline, a sharp V at the waist and an uneven hem that fell longer on one side.
Hall attended the premiere of “The Sheep Detectives” at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. In the animated mystery, she voices Cloud, one of the sheep drawn into solving the killing of their shepherd after the flock realizes the local police officer is out of his depth.
