Nicole Scherzinger brought high-gloss drama to Manhattan on Monday, stepping out in a pair of black Christian Louboutin Sandaloo platform heels while arriving at NBC Studios for an appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” The Tony Award winner was in town to promote her extended Broadway run in “Sunset Blvd.”, and her shoes — five-inch block heels with an unmistakable red sole — did most of the talking.
Scherzinger’s pair came in black patent calf leather, finished with a high-gloss shine. The platform sandals feature an open toe, a thin ankle strap and a tall square heel measuring roughly 5 inches. A 1.5-inch platform adds height without compromising balance — a key element of the style’s bold but wearable appeal. The sculpted arch and Louboutin’s signature red sole give the shoe its familiar drama, while the clean lines keep the overall silhouette sharp.

Scherzinger’s Sandaloo moment follows a string of high-profile appearances for the design. Marsai Martin wore the same patent black version at the “G20” premiere in March, pairing it with a sequin Gaurav Gupta gown. Louboutin has also introduced the silhouette in silver sequin, white satin and laminated napa leather as part of its spring 2025 wedding collection, where the shoe anchored metallic trends with a romantic twist.
The platform sandal’s reemergence is part of a larger footwear shift this year, as celebrities continue leaning into architectural heels with exaggerated lift. For Scherzinger, it’s a natural fit. Her recent shoe choices have leaned into height and edge, from suede cutout thigh-high boots at May’s Broadway luncheon to metallic peep-toe stilettos during Met Gala week.
She paired the towering heels with a black, shredded-effect halter gown with rows of artfully placed fringe-like slashes running from the neck to the hem. The textural pattern exposed the leg through movement and light. Diamond drop earrings, a bronzed lip and slicked-back ponytail completed the look, letting the gown’s texture and the Sandaloos shine.
