Lila Moss went for a black crocodile look at the Gucci spring 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week, held at Palazzo Mezzanotte on Tuesday in Italy. The model arrived in a monochrome black ensemble, debuting a new boot style for the Italian luxury house and one of Demna’s first designs as Gucci’s creative director.
Moss’ boot style balanced a classic wardrobe staple — the pointed toe boot — with modern and edgier details to make the shoe feel fresh. The knee-high design featured a sharp pointed toe, and the rich croc-embossed leather gave off a high shine as the model posed for photos.

The boots also featured a silver metal heel, measuring around four inches, that made the shoe stand out. Moss kept her look cohesive with a matching croc-embossed leather miniskirt and croc handbag, and tied it all together with a simple black turtleneck.
The boots made an early appearance on Monday ahead of the show when the designer unveiled his first designs for Gucci with the surprise release of a look book photographed by Catherine Opie that featured 37 looks and a monogrammed travel trunk. Two other versions of the boots appeared in the look book as part of looks 4 and 6.
For look 4, the shoes were featured in a beige fabric-like material, with the iconic double-G Gucci monogram and a gold metal heel, which Gwyneth Paltrow debuted at the show. Look 6 paired a wine red midi dress with a burgundy version of the croc-embossed boots Moss wore, but with a gold heel.
Demna told WWD in an interview that he created a series of characters who are part of “La Famiglia,” each with their own personality and attitude. To coincide with the look book, Demna released a short film on Tuesday titled “The Tiger,” directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn, that was based on said characters.
“From the very beginning, I shaped the collection by imagining a constellation of characters, asking myself what Gucci means to me, from its archive to the many identities it embodies,” Demna said to WWD. “I gathered an imaginary family to carry the story, each figure holding a fragment of the broader narrative. Since my first show will be in February, I felt like the story of La Famiglia should be told through a short film. I shared it with Spike and Halina, whose work I’ve long admired, and they created their film, ‘The Tiger,’ inspired by these characters.”
