Kate Middleton stepped out in Pretty Ballerina loafers with her husband, Prince William, on Thursday, while visiting the Natural History Museum in London. The royal, who debuted a blond hair color with her look, maintained her classic style, pairing a cognac pair of the brand’s pointed-toe loafers with a Ralph Lauren blazer and black cropped dress pants.
Middleton’s latest footwear moment marks the arrival of the fall footwear season. Suede flats and loafers are a popular choice for keeping the feet cozy during the chillier months, providing an alternative to sandals and open-toe shoes that carry women through the summer, while serving as an in-between shoe pick before the winter boot season kicks in.
Her loafer featured a fringe detail and a metal buckle on the upper. The shoes are similar to Pretty Ballerinas’ Ella loafers and are made from soft, tan suede with tassels, a rubber sole, a leather insole and a textile lining. A kiltie fringed flap is attached to the front of the shoe, and at the top of it sits a silver rectangle buckle.

Pretty Ballerinas is an independent brand and family business with over 100 years of experience in the art of making shoes. Each pair is manufactured on the Mediterranean island of Menorca, Spain, in a process involving more than 60 craftsmen and women, using quality materials and remaining environmentally responsible.
This is the first time Middleton, who often rewears shoes and has a handful of footwear designers she favors, has been spotted wearing these loafers. While the exact style isn’t currently available on the brand’s website, other versions of the shoe or the Angelis loafers are currently on sale for under $200.
