Doja Cat made her first pre-Met footwear statement away from the carpet, wearing white sneaker-heel hybrids for a MAC stop at Ulta Beauty in Herald Square.
The singer, who debuted as a MAC Cosmetics ambassador in September 2025, stepped out in Herald Square in New York City on Sunday, heading to Ulta Beauty to pick up some beauty goodies ahead of Monday’s Met Gala and see her “I Only Wear MAC” campaign live. For the outing, the “Kiss Me More” singer wore a pair of hybrid shoes that read somewhere between an athletic shoe, a pointed pump and a low bootie.
The hybrid silhouette featured a pointed toe, a paneled white upper with curbed vamp cutouts and raised athletic-style overlays on the sides. Small perforations appeared near the outer front panel, while a smooth vertical detail on the side added the kind of graphic break more often seen on sneakers than pumps. Her pink pants covered most of the heel, but the shape visible at the back suggested a white sculptural heel rather than a flat sneaker sole.

She paired the shoes with a layered, pink athleisure look, complete with Telfar’s Global Puff Hoodie in Bubblegum, I.Am.Gia’s Blare Hoodie in Neon Blue and a white Hellstar bralette underneath. She carried Louis Vuitton’s white Monogram Multicolore Speedy 40, the Takashi Murakami-era bag with multicolored logos, tan handles and gold corner hardware. A Nommi Loveliness Never Ends Series plush hung from the bag, adding another toy-like note to a look already built on soft volume, pink nylon and intentionally exaggerated proportions.
The shoe choice picked up a thread Doja Cat has already tested on a much larger stage. In July 2025, she performed during the FIFA Club World Cup Final halftime show at MetLife Stadium in custom Adidas Samba heels, a slingback version of the soccer-coded sneaker with a sharpened pump shape, three-stripe detailing and a stiletto heel.
Like her street style looks, Doja Cat’s Met Gala footwear has gotten stranger, taller and more visible with each recent carpet. Her Stuart Weitzman shoes stayed mostly hidden by her crystallized Oscar de la Renta dress in 2023, before she turned to translucent Pleaser platforms in 2024 and custom Marc Jacobs Kiki stiletto ankle boots in 2025.
