Diesel and Melissa have joined forces to create a futuristic footwear collection exploring parametric design and optical art, available now online and in selected stores.
Blending Melissa’s signature design with the bold aesthetic of Diesel, the collection features three styles in various colors: the Quantum Thong, Quantum Platform and Quantum Sneaker X. The collection’s signature is a reimagination of Diesel’s “D” monogram, which contributes to the contemporary look of the shoes.
Offered in sizes 5 to 10, the flip-flop style Quantum Thong is available in light pink, transparent blue, transparent red and black. The open-toe platform style, known as the Quantum Platform, is also available in sizes 5 to 10, with colorways including transparent red, transparent blue, light blue and black. Lastly, the Quantum Sneaker X is a genderless option with a closed silhouette offered in sizes 5 to 13 and available in transparent green, transparent red and black. Presenting an extended size range, every style is crafted with inclusivity in consideration.
“The collaboration with Diesel is part of a business strategy that reinforces Melissa’s global positioning. More than just a collection, this partnership is a strategic move that connects the creative power of two internationally relevant brands, boosting Melissa’s presence in key markets around the world,” Melissa’s director Paulo Pedó told Footwear News. “We believe in the power of collaborations as catalysts for innovation and expansion. By combining our disruptive identity with Diesel’s authentic DNA, we expand our international reach with a value proposition that resonates across cultures, generations and styles.”
