Demi Lovato is back on the music scene and stepping out in a sleek pair of Gianvito Rossi heels. Lovato is entering her new era, releasing her dance-pop song “Fast” on Friday, along with a music video.
The music video sees Lovato strutting down a hectic street in a pink and white Prada ensemble and a pair of the Italian footwear designer’s popular semitransparent Metropolis sandals, as confirmed by her stylist Chris Horan.
The Metropolis has become a signature style for the brand due to its versatility and ability to blend flawlessly into the wearer’s skin, creating a chic, barefoot effect with a feminine and elegant boost in height.

The barely there sandal is defined by a front all-in-one strap in soft Plexi made from polyvinyl chloride that wraps across the toes and then over the foot, and around the ankle. The shoes feature a round toe and are finely set on a 105mm stiletto heel, elongating the leg and creating a never-ending, seamless effect.
The sandals are Gianvito Rossi’s modern interpretation of a glass slipper, making use of the label’s popular PVC material. The towering open-toe shoes’ semitransparent straps wind around the ankle, creating a slingback effect.
The Metropolis sandal is available in a range of colors, including pink and black, as well as various heights, like 70mm for those looking for a lower heel. They retail for $845 and are among Gianvito’s most popular styles, and Karol G recently wore them during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.”
Not only is Lovato entering a new phase of her career, but also with her style. As she promotes her upcoming album, she has been spotted wearing Acne Studios’ leather boots with a Helmut Lang Wind halter dress during a fan event on Wednesday, as well as a Norma Kamali long-sleeve deep V ruffle bodysuit and wide-legged jeans, paired with Saint Laurent Babylone Breteuil slingback pumps. Her ninth studio album is due out later this year.
