Things just got sweeter at Crocs.
The clogs brand is expanding its already eclectic roster of collaborators by adding Krispy Kreme to the list. The footwear and doughnut companies are coming together to release limited-edition Krispy Kreme Crocs Classic clogs.
This collaboration has been in the works for more than a year, culminating in an Aug. 6 release of a Classic clog resembling a freshly glazed doughnut. The green heel strap features the Krispy Kreme logo, and the perforated upper features oversize Jibbitz resembling an Original Glazed and a Krispy Kreme Hot Light. Two interchangeable toe caps resembling chocolate and strawberry icing with sprinkles are also included.

Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand and product officer, said in a statement, “It’s been so much fun collaborating with Crocs, bringing two ‘originals’ together for the first time.”
Each pair comes in a cobranded box that pays homage to a classic Krispy Kreme Dozen box. Another available item is a five-pack of Jibbitz charms including two doughnuts, a dozen box, a paper hat and the Krispy Kreme logo.
In celebration of the collaboration, Krispy Kreme is offering 50 percent off any dozen doughnuts from Aug. 5 to 11 to customers wearing Crocs.
“At Crocs, we’ve always believed in comfort you can customize — and now, with Krispy Kreme, we’re serving up style that’s glazed with personality and sprinkled with style,” said Terence Reilly, Crocs Inc. chief brand officer, in a statement. “Because when it comes to self-expression, we ‘doughnut’ hold back.”
While people might perceive fashion and food industries as separate, there are often collaborations bridging the two worlds. In the beauty realm, Krispy Kreme has previously collaborated with Hailey Bieber’s Rhode brand. Crocs has also collaborated with other food brands, such as McDonald’s and Haribo.
