Clarks Celebrates Its 200th Anniversary With Post Archive Faction Collaboration

This marks the first collaboration between the two brands.

Clarks has welcomed Post Archive Faction (PAF), a label known for pushing boundaries in terms of form and cultural commentary, to join its list of collaborators with a collection reimagining the Wallabee, launching Friday.

Marking the first partnership between the British footwear company, which dates back to 1825 and the newer label launched in Seoul in 2018, the collaboration speaks to the brands’ shared ethos of craftsmanship, heritage and innovative design; it also is a part of the celebration of Clarks’ 200th anniversary.

The campaign examines the Wallabee as both design and symbol, taking inspiration from Korea’s traditions in which rituals and totemic symbols conveyed a deep connection to nature and the spirit of place. This heritage is reimagined into a modern language of minimal impact and considered creation, with PAF bringing about the WallabeeBT PAF, which makes use of experimental construction and bespoke material choices while paying homage to the heritage of Clarks.
