Brandy and Monica stopped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday to talk about their upcoming tour, “The Boy Is Mine.” The duo wore coordinated burgundy and red ensembles, down to their lustrous shoes.
For the interview, Monica chose a Retrofête Lyra patent leather boot in a rich, shiny burgundy color that glistened thanks to the studio lights. The Lyra boot features a sleek, knee-high silhouette with a 16-inch shaft.

The sharp-pointed toe and 110mm stiletto heel gave the boot more of an edge. The boots are currently on sale for $499, and are available in blue and black. Retrofête also offers a croc-embossed version.

Monica wore the boots with a Gucci GG embossed leather jacket from the fall 2024 collection, which features a detachable leather belt with a small Double G buckle. It’s made from Gucci’s Rosso Ancora red GG embossed leather, and features a point collar, two chest pockets and a button closure. She wore the matching GG embossed leather shorts, also in the Rosso Ancora red. The mini shorts feature a hook closure with Gucci engraving.
Brandy also went for Gucci, but for her footwear. She wore the fashion house’s popular Signoria slingback pump. Retailing for $1,200, the heels are crafted from shiny Rosso Ancora patent leather and feature a pointed toe, along with an eye-catching, hand-stitched Gucci chain on the slingback strap. The shoes feature a four-inch, sculpted heel. Brandy also went for a red look, wearing a matching red pin-striped shirt and wide-legged pants to the interview. The wool set is from Bottega Veneta.
As evident by their appearance on “Fallon,” the R&B stars are in sync stylistically and in their careers. Nearly 30 years after their duet “The Boy Is Mine,” Brandy and Monica are going on the road for their first co-headlining tour. The singers announced on Tuesday that their “The Boy Is Mine” tour will kick off in October at Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati.
The tour features stops in 24 cities in the U.S. before ending in December in Houston. Kelly Rowland, Muni Long and Jamal Roberts are set to join them as the opening acts. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
