KALTEX NAMES U.S. PRESIDENT: Mexican denim mill Grupo Kaltex this month named former Galey & Lord executive Robert McCormack to serve as president and chief executive officer of its Kaltex America unit.
He reports to Rafael M. Kalach, chairman and ceo of Kaltex’s Mexico City-based parent company.
McCormack has a 15-year tenure at Galey, where he last served as managing director for sportswear. Galey emerged from bankruptcy in November, when it was acquired by Patriarch Partners.
ROSARIO PROMOTED: Cotton Inc. has promoted Paula G. Rosario to vice president of retail and fashion marketing. Rosario had been a senior executive with responsibility for those areas. She will continue to report to senior vice president Ira Livingston.
YKK TAPS JUTRAS: Zipper maker YKK Corp. of America has named Yvan Jutras president of its Canadian arm. He succeeds Eiji Shimazaki, who was transferred to the firm’s Shanghai office. Jutras last served as vice president of manufacturing for the Canadian unit of the company. He reports to Alex Gregory, president and ceo of YKK Corp. of America.
