Jan Marini Skin Research is dipping its toe into the men’s skin care market with the introduction of a range of five treatment products called Skin Care Management System for Men.
The line, which is rolling out now to about 14,000 doors in the U.S., is designed as a five-step shaving, antiaging and antiacne regimen that comes as either a kit for $299 or as individual products, ranging in price from $29 to $89.
“It’s a huge, growing market,” Marini, president and chief executive officer of San Jose, Calif.-based Jan Marini Skin Research, said of men’s personal care. “Men are just as concerned [as women] about skin care. But,” she added, discussing the idea of doing a step-by-step offering, “men have a great deal of difficulty being able to determine what the right mix is.”
With Skin Care Management System for Men, she contended, “They have a skin care program tailored for them and they don’t have to go out and figure out what the appropriate mix is.”
