SONIC ART: The Fondazione Prada is gearing up for a new exhibition at Ca’ Corner della Regina, the Venetian palazzo it has been renovating since 2011. Curated by Germano Celant and titled “Art or Sound,” the presentation kicks off with a preview from June 4 to 6, just before the Venice Biennale architecture exhibition. It will then be open to visitors from June 7 to Nov. 3, focusing on the various ways artists and musicians have combined visual and audible elements and blurred the lines between the different mediums.
“Art or Sound” will feature everything from 17th-century musical instruments to Sixties sculptures that make use of sound, and will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, closing only on Tuesdays. A selection of related essays collected by the Fondazione Prada will also be on sale at the venue.
