THRILLER NIGHT: “The Tudors” actress Natalie Dormer is to receive the 2016 Women in Film Max Mara Face of the Future Award — the 11th recipient. To wit: She is in Milan to attend the Max Mara fashion show today.
The prize is given annually for outstanding acting achievement and to women who embody style and grace. Past recipients include Kate Mara, Rose Byrne, Hailee Steinfeld, Katie Holmes, Emily Blunt and Elizabeth Banks, among others.
Dormer will be honored at the 2016 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards on June 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Women in Film is a nonprofit organization whose mandate is to ensure gender parity for women in the film and media industries.
Dormer currently stars in “The Forest,” a thriller about the Aokigahara Forest in Japan and will soon begin production another thriller, “In Darkness,” which she cowrote with director Anthony Byrne.
