LVMH CLASS: LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and HEC Paris business school signed a partnership on Friday to create a General Management and Retail Excellence chair, a teaching and research program focused on luxury brand management.
As part of the agreement, LVMH also has become a partner of the HEC Foundation.
“This long-term partnership between LVMH and HEC Paris will revolve around courses that draw on the expertise of HEC Paris professors, as well as the talent and engagement of managers from numerous LVMH Group companies, including Louis Vuitton, Berluti, Parfums Christian Dior, Sephora and others,” according to the company.
LVMH added: “The ‘General Management and Retail Excellence’ chair will train tomorrow’s talents for careers in every aspect of the luxury industry — [including] sales, merchandising, logistics, management [and] finance. LVMH will have an opportunity to engage directly with a multicultural pool of highly talented students who are open to career mobility and have an affinity with retail operations. By underlining the strategic role of luxury retail and the rich diversity of jobs it covers, the HEC Paris/LVMH chair will offer students unique career opportunities in the luxury sector.”
“Retail figures at the heart of LVMH Group’s strategy,” stated Chantal Gaemperle, group executive vice president of human resources and synergies. “The scope and variety of opportunities in retail create an extremely rich array of career itineraries in continually evolving environments.”
