British luxury footwear and accessories brand George Cleverley has teamed with American writer and brand consultant Zachary Weiss for its first co-branded collaboration.
A go-to shoemaker for the likes of Winston Churchill, Elton John and Ralph Lauren, the 66-year-old George Cleverley mostly recently dressed David Beckham in its Ronald tuxedo shoes for the state banquet hosted by King Charles III for the Emir of Qatar.
The collaboration with Weiss marks George Cleverley’s latest effort to expand beyond footwear to reach a boarder audience.
The capsule features a range of travel “essentials” fit for a luxurious lifestyle: a grocery tote in black and brown crocodile embossed leather, a wine and spirits case in bottle green, and a sleep mask made with off-cuts of exotic skins found in the workshop.

Weiss, who travels with the global social calendar and covers lavish parties for various media outlets, said these items are elevated versions of things he uses often but rarely pays much mind to.
“When I’m bringing a bottle of wine to a friend’s house, I usually just opt for a paper bag. The wine and spirits trunk is a much more suitable option,” he added.
Two limited-edition colorways of the eye mask will be available for purchase to guests of The Raffles London at the refurbished Old War Office, where the collaboration campaign was shot by Brandon Hinton.
Weiss posed at the hotel’s lobby staircase, central courtyard and the Churchill Suite, which was once the site of private cabinet meetings led by Churchill during wartime.
Weiss said the Guards Bar at the hotel was where he and George Cleverley chief executive officer George Glasgow Jr. came up with the upcycled, eye mask concept.
“We wondered what he could make with these leftover small pieces of rare skins he has on hand in the workshop after he’s finished making shoes for cool guys like David Beckham. When I told him I had amassed a collection of many, many eye masks from my travels and that I slept with one on every night, he and his craftsmen were bold enough to give it a try. From there, we looked at the other things I used often that could use an upgrade,” Weiss added.
A party will take place on Tuesday at the Guards Bar to celebrate the collection launch.
