Renée Zellweger has been absent from the Oscars red carpet for a number of years now, but the Oscar-winner had a streak of memorable looks in her heyday.
Zellweger, who is the front-runner to win best actress for her role in “Judy” at the 2020 Oscars this Sunday, was once a red carpet stalwart before taking a six-year break from acting.
In the aughts she was an Oscars regular — receiving three consecutive nominations starting in 2002 — and routinely looked to designer Carolina Herrera to create her red carpet look.
The designer created looks for Zellweger’s last six appearances at the awards show, most memorably in 2004 when the actress received her first Oscar for her role in “Cold Mountain.” Zellweger picked up the award wearing a white taffeta gown from the designer paired with a Cartier diamond choker.
Arguably, Zellweger’s most memorable Oscars look was in 2001 when the actress wore a vintage yellow Jean Desses dress to the ceremony.
