By day five of New York Fashion Week, one is hard-pressed to find a new face in the front rows — much less one making his or her debut at any fashion show, period. At Monday night’s Rag & Bone showing, Oscar Isaac was doing that just, having arrived at Skylight Clarkson Square to take in Marcus Wainwright’s first solo effort for the brand.
“This is my first time — I feel nervous,” Isaac said of his first collections viewing. “It was time. I’ve been holding onto my virginity for so long. We flirted a lot, me and Rag & Bone, and things got heavy, and so you know what, I’m ready.”
He added that it is the Rag & Bone casual aesthetic that appeals to him. “It’s just really nice clothes. It’s very relaxed clothes, it feels good to wear it,” he said.
The “Star Wars” actor is currently taking some time off to enjoy being home in New York — and tend to his garden. “What am I working on right now? I’m working on being home for a little bit, taking a little down time,” he said. “I garden…I have a little terrace. [I grow] all sorts of stuff — some lettuce, some strawberries — right now there are some raspberries. I’m living off the land.”
