Philipp Plein has tapped Fergie to appear in the brand’s spring advertising campaign, which is titled “Alice in Ghettoland,” and was photographed by Steven Klein.
The American hip-hop star, who performed at Plein’s spring show in Milan in September, is flanked by model Matthew Terry. They hold poses against the same set used for the spring show. A surreal atmosphere is infused in the nocturnal images featuring Fergie, who sports an Amazon-like ponytail, and Terry immersed in a whimsical world with a candy-house, a carousel, a giant gelato cone, as well as a Fifties car and a vintage bike.
Fergie is seen wearing a top with a gold chain, an embroidered minidress and gladiator sandals, while Terry dons short pants encrusted with crystals, bomber jackets or a brocade suit.
The advertising campaign will make its debut in international magazines in January.
