The Los Angeles junior denim label has signed with Double J Fashion Group to be its new Canadian distributor, placing particular emphasis on markets such as Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
“I expect Double J to effectively promote and sell the YMI brand into the Canadian marketplace,” David Vered, president of YMI, said in a statement. “[The firm’s] exemplary track record, combined with the notoriety of the YMI brand, will prove to be a winning combination in the coming year.”
Double J has handled distribution and licensing for brands including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Mossimo and Rockport. YMI will begin shipping to the Canadian market in June.
