They Are Wearing: Florence

If the street is the perfect place to gauge what is going on in fashion, this week’s Pitti Uomo trade show in Florence was one fine example. The season’s must-have look appears to be anything in plaid, from scarves and shirts to blazers and pants. There’s also good news for color fanatics: vivid flashes of red and orange have surfaced, but there’s still plenty of neutrals for those who prefer a safer palette. The legions of elegant men also made a strong showing, rocking those impeccable suits while making them fun and edgy at the same time. And then there’s the wonderfully wacky dressers, who may just deserve a category of their own.
