For her first full Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin runway show, milliner-turned-fashion-designer Rike Feurstein conjured the image of a quintessential British dandy abroad in Africa, resulting in a series of whimsical pieces for men and women. Plaids, tweeds and pinstripes went candy-colored in suits, coats and separates that she paired with tropical prints and tribal patterns. Fake fur was imprinted with croc texture or cropped into chubby jewel-toned jackets, while real fur took its own walk on the runway as the designer debuted a dog accessories line with the help of a Dalmatian, wolfhound and other pups. Fittingly, houndstooth, in rainbow hues, was also prevalent.
