Celebrated interior designer Andree Putman is feeling lucky.
Through an alliance between the Max Mara Group and Gaia & Gino, Putman has designed a collection of porcelain objects called Lucky. Retailing from $130 to $250, the pieces are being sold for a limited time at select Max Mara and Sportmax stores in the U.S., Europe, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Inspired by the patterns of old Turkish figurative arts, Putman has incorporated a cloverleaf motif into a small vase, a large vase, a serving dish and two bowls. The idea is that each piece will bring good luck to whoever uses it.
This is a new frontier for Putman, who has designed a hodgepodge of things, including Barneys New York mannequins, the interior of Air France’s now-defunct Concorde and her signature furniture and home accessories.
