NEW YORK — Marianne Tesler has been named president of apparel and footwear at Dash Enterprises, a new post.
Most recently Tesler was director of international development at Antichi Pellettieri in charge of brands such as Baldinini and Francesco Biasia and based in Milan. Earlier she was president and chief executive officer of Givenchy from 1999 to 2004. Before that, Tesler was with Nike France, prior to which she spent eight years at Whirlpool.
At Dash Enterprises, Tesler is responsible for the growth of the Pro-Keds brand, Rachel Roy, State Property and the newly launched men’s line, CEO Collection.
“This company is really a unique combo of fashion and sportswear, which I think fits my background very well,” said Tesler. “It’s the urban part that I am learning, and really enjoying.”
Tesler said she sees great potential for the brands under the Dash umbrella.
“I love how educated Damon [Dash] and Rachel are,” she said. “They really have a clear vision of their brands even though they are all so different from each other.”
Roy said that when she and Dash first met with Tesler, Roy knew it would be a good fit.
“We met with a lot of people over the past year,” she said. “But we were really strict about waiting for the right person. Marianne is terrific, she has really begun to organize us, give us direction and put us on the right path for growth.”
