HOLLYWOOD – Victoria’s Secret staged its second fashion show in Hollywood Thursday night for an audience of 1,200 at the Kodak Theater, an event that drew an array of celebs such as Eva Longoria Parker, Hayden Panettiere, Gabrielle Union, Jeremy Piven, Michael Vartan, James Van Der Beek and Dean Cain and Gerard Butler. Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova and company paraded 62 over-the-top couture looks (oh, there were bras and underwear as well) while serenaded by Will.i.am and Seal, nee Mr. Klum.
The mid-show entertainment came courtesy of The Spice Girls, who performed on stage for the first time in 10 years. “We are all so excited to be here,” they chimed before the show, though their carefully choreographed performances (they sang “Stop” and “Headlines”) betrayed little emotion. That didn’t deter Panettiere, who “screamed so loud Posh must have thought we were stalkers,” said Union.
Earlier in the day backstage, Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosiosaid, “It’s not your typical runway show. It’s like the Cirque du Soleil of the fashion world.”
