San Francisco-based Romanian designer Camelia Skikos turned to her adopted city’s map grid for the geometric shapes and contrast seams that crisscrossed the body at sharp angles in her polished collection. There were rectangular cutouts and circular collars that popped up like funnels, while triangular flaps covered the backs of some jackets. Using felted wool, bouclé, knits, leather, mohair and fur, Skikos worked in gray and black, as well as vibrant hues of pink, turquoise and purple.
