MILAN — In her supermodel days, she had platinum blonde hair. It is a soft brown now, but Nadja Auermann still seduces in Blumarine’s new fall ad campaign.
The color images, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in a Paris studio, will break in Vogue Italia at the end of July.
The long-legged German model is no stranger to Blumarine’s romantically seductive clothes, having posed for Helmut Newton in sexy stilettos and garter belt in 1994.
“Whatever campaign Newton shot, he always bought a pair of black patent stilettos,” said Anna Molinari, Blumarine’s designer and co-owner. “He always started with an explicitly physical message to bring out new spiritual forms, always respecting women.
“In this latest campaign, Nadja once again represents the perfect face for Blumarine’s ethereal and feminine clothes and is, once more, wearing black high-heeled shoes.”
Blumarine’s ad investment was not disclosed, but a spokeswoman said the focus had shifted from Italy to the international media.
