They say fashion trends are cyclical. But what about vampires? Our be-fanged brethren might currently enjoy the pop-culture spotlight — see Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling “Twilight” series and blockbuster film (not to mention the extensive press coverage of the flick’s teenage cast) and HBO’s sexy drama “True Blood” — but this is hardly the first time vampires have gone chic.
Based on the Anne Rice novel, “Interview With the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles” hit theaters in November 1994. At the movie’s premiere, WWD snapped the all-star cast — Tom Cruise, Christian Slater, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst — and the who’s who of Hollywood guest lists, including the famous (Faye Dunaway, Kim Basinger, Jim Carrey, Jodie Foster), the fleeting (Luke Perry, Tori Spelling, Tim Daly) and the notorious (Steven Seagal, Roseanne Barr, Jon Lovitz).

He’s 31.” The precocious actress also had plenty to say about the vampire as metaphor: “There are vampires out there, but not the kind who drain you of your blood. I’m talking about people who drain you of your personality. Whenever I bring up this subject, people think I mean agents.”
