MILAN — Giorgio Armani’s last fashion designs will be revealed as planned.
Both the Emporio and Giorgio Armani spring 2026 fashion shows will take place in Milan.
On the Camera della Moda’s calendar, the former is expected to be staged in Via Bergognone, at the Armani Teatro on Sept. 24. As per the schedule, two shows will be held, at 3 and 4 p.m. CET.
The Giorgio Armani show is slated at 7 p.m. CET on Sept. 28, closing Milan Fashion Week, which kicks off on Sept. 23, and to be exceptionally staged at the Brera Pinacoteca, in the storied courtyard of honor of Palazzo Brera, the 17th-century landmark home to the Pinacoteca, the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense library and the Brera Academy.

The opening of the exhibition at the storied art gallery and cultural institution will also go ahead as planned on Sept. 24. The exhibit of 150 archival looks is part of the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of Armani’s namesake company. It is flanked by a broader digital project called Armani/Archivio, which was launched on Aug. 30 during the Venice Film Festival filled with a catalogue of all Giorgio Armani collections to date.
“The regular staging of the fashion shows and the inauguration of the exhibition, on which Giorgio Armani worked until the very end, reflect the company’s determination to carry forward a legacy of commitment, respect and dedication to work, values that have always defined Mr. Armani and which he has instilled in all his collaborators over the years,” stated the Armani Group on Wednesday.
In fact, announcing the death of the designer on Sept. 4 at 91, the company issued a statement expressing the goal to “commit to protecting what [Armani] built and to carrying his company forward in his memory, with respect, responsibility and love.”
Over the weekend, around 16,000 people paid their respects to the designer at his funeral chamber at the Armani Teatro designed by Tadao Ando, filled with white flowers and paper lanterns on the floor in a diagonal grid formation dimly lit up the darkened venue.
Leo Dell’Orco, head of menswear design; Armani‘s nephew, Andrea Camerana, and Michele Tacchella, business unit director of Giorgio Armani and EA7, were among those flanking the casket and greeting guests. Silvana Armani, the designer’s niece who worked on the women’s collections, was also spotted. They are also believed to be Armani’s designated heirs, chosen to continue to build the company in continuity, together with his sister Rosanna and his niece Roberta.
The designer’s funeral ceremony on Monday was private, held in the small Italian town of Rivalta, near Piacenza, where he was born. All Armani stores globally were closed that day.
