Armando Belleri has joined Meltin’ Pot, the trendy Italian denim brand, as managing director with responsibility for expansion into international markets.
“Our focus over the last few years has been centered around perfecting our product range and now is the moment to tackle the market,” said Augusto Romano, chief executive officer and principal of Meltin’ Pot.
Belleri’s post is new and consolidates responsibilities that previously were overseen by the brand’s owner.
A veteran of Lotus and Chevignon, Belleri is the former chief executive officer of G-Star Italia.
The company has 1,500 wholesale distribution points, including 800 European multibrand retailers, and last year opened its first monobrand store in Riccione, Italy.
Meltin’ Pot offers men’s and women’s jeans at an average retail price of 110 to 120 euros, or $137 to $150 at current exchange rates.
