Justin Bieber has suspended all future meet-and-greets with his Beliebers on his “Purpose” tour. “Purpose,” which is also a pseudo-marketing moment for Calvin Klein, is the third international tour from Bieber and is in support of his fourth studio album of the same name. It kicked off on March 9 in Seattle and is schedule to conclude in late November, spanning 114 shows — including a particularly star-studded one recently in L.A.
Before the cancellation, concertgoers who spent up to $2,000 on special meet-and-greet ticket packages got up-close pre-show access to the singer. Fans who already purchased such packages will only be given refunds if they forfeit their tickets in exchange.

Bieber took to his Instagram to announce the cancellation, attributing it to mental exhaustion. “I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other’s people spiritual energy that I end up drained and unhappy….[I] want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression,” the 22-year-old wrote, adding, “The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders.”
Belibers were unwaveringly — and unsurprisingly — supportive with comments ranging from “Stay Strong Bieber. This is life…” to “Everything’s gonna be alrighttt <3.”
Bieber’s Instagram has been chock-full of controversy lately — on Sunday the singer posted an old picture of his pre-pubescent-self kissing ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, captioning it “Feels.” Expectedly, it generated more divisive comments.
